Tagboard InuYasha
After her ressurection, Kikyou regards InuYasha with hatred and bitter-sweet confusion. Earlier in the series, she still assumes that it was InuYasha who had killed her and is wary of him. Once she tries to exact revenge by bringing InuYasha to Hell but after her attmept fails, Kikyou later finds out it was Naraku who had murdered her.
InuYasha and Kikyou's relationship and interaction is very confusing and evident. They both are obviously still care for each other but with the introduction of Kagome, they seem to be distancing from each other significantly as the series resumes. However, they still are on friendly terms and aid each other. InuYasha has on more then one occasion leapt to Kikyou's rescue and Kikyou has returned the gesture as well later on in the series in around Chapter 301 [Episodes 140+]. ![]() The two interact with caution but with passion. InuYasha treats Kikyou gently and there is always a wantful look on his face as he speaks to her while Kikyou gives glances of her own that hint her own longing yet she still remains aloof. Their relationship has greatly turned for the better after Kikyou's near-death experience on Mnt. Hakurei by Naraku. Kagome
At the beginning the two disliked each other due to rivalry for InuYasha and jealousy. As the series matured, these two eventually came to a neutral understanding due to the situation in Episode 98: Dokutsu ni wa Kikyo to Kagome no Futari Dake [Kikyou and Kagome Alone in a Cave]. After the two managed to come to an understanding, Kikyou obviously regards Kagome with a high respect and Kagome seems to sympathises Kikyou and the miko [priestess'] situation.
![]() Despite her still uneasy jealousy, Kagome allows InuYasha to rush to Kikyou's side when he hears after Episode 124: Saraba Itoshiki Kikyou yo [Farewell Comes, Dear Kikyou] and Kagome herself appears to be upset when she hears of the news of Kikyou's 'death'. The most significant evidence of Kagome's and Kikyou's advance in their relationship/interaction is in Episode 151: Kagome Honnou no Sentaku [Kagome's Instinctive Choice] when Kagome chooses to save Kikyou's life by healing her wound she had recieved from Naraku. InuYasha Group
While they truly never speak, the group [Sango, Miroku, Shippou and Kirara] regard Kikyou with respect and formality while Kikyou ignores them. The group remain out of the situation with Kikyou knowing that she is Kagome's and InuYasha's busniess. However, Miroku in one of the much later episodes [cant quite remember the name of it right now.. O.o] saves Kikyou. The entire group look down to see an exhausted, passed out Kikyou. They tell InuYasha to take Kikyou to where her shinidimachuu is so she may regenerate.
![]() Kagome nodds and agrees while thinking she is jealous but that they need Kikyou. The group accepts Kikyou and interacts with her very little. Yet they understand her importance to InuYasha and the Shikon no Tama [Jewel of Four Souls]. Kikyou shows her protection of the group, when she saves Miroku's life and when she takes in Sango's brother, Kohaku, into her care. Sesshoumaru and Co.
They both are significant enemies to InuYasha earlier in the series but as the series transgresses, both of these reserved characters help InuYasha in their own way. Sesshoumaru approaches and speaks to Kikyou in the first movie and two other episodes later in the series. Sesshoumaru basically asks Kikyou what her relation to InuYasha is and then ignores her practically in the movie after he states he will be the one to kill InuYasha. In a later episode, Kikyou saves Rin and Sesshoumaru gives his thanks silently with his gaze while Rin smiles and thanks Kikyou sincerely.
![]() Another time is in Episode 124: Saraba Itoshiki Kikyou yo [Farewell Comes, Dear Kikyou]. Sesshoumaru witnesses Kikyou's 'death' and criticises Naraku for his hard attempt to rid of one woman. These characters treat each other with respect, formality and caution. They both are aware they are strong and of high class of their time and display it in their gestures and attitude to each other. Naraku
These two simply hate each other. Not only does Kikyou continously make plans to rid of Naraku and is constantly being hunted down by Naraku but Naraku him has tried on more the one occassion to assasinate Kikyou. The little interaction they have is on the battle field and that is where their animosity and hatred is evident. Naraku fears Kikyou because of her power while Kikyou wishes to exact revenge on Naraku for taking her life from her.
![]() Kagura and Kanna
Kagura and Kanna interact with Kikyou rarely. Kagura regards Kikyou with coyness and usually questions Kikyou and her motives. Kikyou is cold and emotionless towards Kagura yet never takes action towards her. Kagura respects Kikyou due to the knowledge that she knows Kikyou is the only one who can destroy Naraku and is the only person Naraku fears. Because of her hatred for Naraku, Kagura regards Kikyou with some respect mostly for the reason that she thinks Kikyou will be the one to kill Naraku, thus freeing her.
![]() ![]() Kikyou and Kanna are very somber and Kikyou even some times threatens Kanna with her bow, stating to the demon she would not hesitate to purify her. Kanna seems to be uneffected by the threat but usually stays far away from Kikyou. The interaction between these characters are a minimum but they are stressed and more then often cautious interactions between them. ![]() |
