Tagboard Argument #6 Firstly, Kikyou had warned the monk to leave her alone. He completely ignored her and attacked her first. Would you have just stood there, smile and say; 'Okay kill me then. Just hurry up and do it?'. More likely, it is too be assumed you would have not so graciously had your second chance at life taken from you yet again. It was an act in self-defense. On the matter of Sayo being present, Kikyou did not know that Sayo was there. Later on when Kikyou found she was, she apologised and left the village. Kikyou never made any malicious or threatening gestures to the monk but he did so to her and she merely defended herself while Sayo was there at the wrong time and to make matters worse, had been hiding. Kikyou could not have possibly known she was there. Argument #7 ![]() Obviously, InuYasha does not disagree. InuYasha still loves Kikyou and even tells her that her life is his. The thoughts and feelings are shared by the two and both are obviously possessive of each other. Is this wrong? No. It is merely love. Argument #8 Now let us evaluate this. Kagome told her. Hn. Kagome, an entire stranger and love rival, told Kikyou what had occured fifty years ago between herself and InuYasha. Now, if you had been Kikyou, would you have listened to the girl who is now; Is it just us or are these rather practical reasons why Kikyou didn't listen to Kagome? Argument #9 ![]() Kikyou at times does not ask InuYasha for his sudden rescues as we have seen countless times. Later on in the series, she thanks InuYasha but other then that, she does not rush to him and demand his aid. InuYasha in fact promises it to her. Kikyou is in fact human. She even admits so herself in Episode 147-148: Meguriau Mae no Ummei Renka [A Fateful Love Song Before We Met]. Kikyou is a strong individual both emotionally, physically and spiritually but even she can find herself unable to conquer over all. Besides, why aren't you complaining about how Kagome some how always ends up about to be stabbed, hit, killed etc... or is on the verge or is being kidnapped? Hm? Why should Kikyou have to be this super-natural being that is unable to have any weaknesses? Even Sesshoumaru has had his times he has had to escape, flee or have aid by InuYasha and the others. Kikyou is no exception. Argument #10 If you did not pay attention to the subtitles, the dubbed words or even read the script, you are blind or deaf. Firstly, Kikyou did not push Kagome down the well. Kikyou did not physically force Kagome into the well thus 'pushing' her. Kagome stumbled back in surprise from Kikyou's display of emotion and fell on her own accord due to the fact of her being clumsy [its true she is <.<]. Secondly, Kikyou only had Kagome go down the well because the well was sealing and Kagome would never be able to return to her world. Kagome does not belong in that time and Kikyou made it her mission to correct that. Also, Kikyou even says to herself that she does not wish to stare at herself any longer [Kagome]. It is hard seeing your reincarnation hurt your love and knowing you can not help him because he is in love with her as well. Argument #11 Due to over-exaggeratted fanfictions on the net that repeadetly use the scene where Kikyou is continously trying to bring InuYasha to Hell, it is thought by anti-Kikyou fans that Kikyou is intent on bringing InuYasha to Hell with her and will continue to try to do so. This conception is wrong. Kikyou tried to bring InuYasha to Hell once. And during this one time affair, Kikyou still thought it had been InuYasha who had betrayed her. In a way, Kikyou was exacting revenge on who she still percieved as her murderer. Argument #12 ![]() Kikyou does in fact still love InuYasha. It is shown in small gestures in the series but she does in fact. Look in the image above and see the pain in her facial features? Kikyou is obviously very hurt and upset at the thought InuYasha cares for Kagome more. Back?| Forward? ![]() |
